PRIVACYInformation ST7D uses
ST7D only uses information needed to operate the community website, member accounts, moderation tools and game-stat features. Depending on which features you use, that can include:
- Steam sign-in: Steam ID, Steam display name and Steam profile picture.
- Optional Discord linking: the Discord identity needed to show your linked community account and related ST7D features.
- Profile and community content: profile settings, biography, badges, Gallery submissions, event activity and notification preferences that you choose to use.
- Game statistics: game identity and counters such as zombie kills, player kills, deaths and level. Public pages do not expose game IP addresses, coordinates, health, stamina or ping. Tracked playtime is retained for Staff diagnostics only and is not shown to ordinary members or public visitors.
- Security information: sign-in/session records and technical information such as IP address and browser/user-agent may be retained for security, abuse prevention and Staff audit purposes. Access to this information is restricted to authorised Staff tools.
- Website presence: while a signed-in member is actively browsing ST7D.net, a short-lived presence timestamp is used to show the public ON SITE status. The public only receives a yes/no status, not the timestamp. Presence expires after a short period without activity and is cleared when you sign out.
Discord webhook notices: selected public community activity can be mirrored into official ST7D Discord channels when the site owner enables that feed. The same public-profile and Community Activity privacy choices are respected for member-identifying Community Activity and Achievement notices. Operational moderation, Staff and health alerts may also be sent to private Staff Discord channels.
Where practical, ST7D keeps operational data only for as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected. Security and audit information may be retained for a limited period or longer where needed to investigate abuse or protect the service.
COOKIESEssential cookies only
ST7D.net currently uses cookies needed for account sign-in, session security, temporary Steam/Discord authentication state and the private Admin website-presence count in Staff HQ. Guests receive a temporary anonymous session token so one browser is counted once while actively browsing. The guest token contains no name, Steam ID, IP address, location or user-agent and is not used for advertising or analytics. Guest identities are not available to Admins.
This release does not intentionally set advertising or analytics cookies. If non-essential tracking is added in future, this notice and the site's consent controls should be updated before that technology is enabled.
PUBLIC PROFILESWhat other people can see
Members can control whether their ST7D profile and game statistics are public through the available profile/privacy settings. Public areas may show your chosen profile information, approved Gallery content, achievements and the status labels IN-GAME and ON SITE where applicable.
IN-GAME means the player is currently connected to one of the tracked ST7D game servers. ON SITE means a signed-in member has been active on ST7D.net recently.
USER CONTENTGallery & uploads
Only upload screenshots, text or other content that you are allowed to share. ST7D may approve, reject, feature, hide or remove community submissions to enforce the Community Rules, protect members or keep the site useful.
Rejected Gallery submissions are removed from the member-facing Gallery system; Staff moderation actions may still be retained in the private Audit Log.
THIRD PARTIESExternal services
ST7D links to or integrates with services such as Steam, Discord, PayPal, Cloudflare and game-server tools. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy information. ST7D is not responsible for the content or availability of unrelated third-party websites.
SITE TERMSUsing ST7D.net
- Use the website and community features in line with the ST7D Community Rules and Staff moderation decisions.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, exploit, automate abuse of, scrape restricted data from, or gain unauthorised access to ST7D.net or its connected services.
- Do not impersonate another member or deliberately submit false/misleading information through Staff, moderation or account systems.
- Features, server availability, statistics and community services can change, be suspended or be retired as ST7D develops.
- Live game statistics are provided as a community feature. ST7D makes reasonable efforts to keep them accurate but does not guarantee that every upstream game/server counter will always be complete or error-free.
